Vietnamese Horned Viper

The Vietnamese Horned Viper (Protobothrops cornutus) is a distinctive Asian pit viper recognised by the horn-like scales above its eyes and its intricate natural patterning. Native to Vietnam and parts of southern China, this species is a fascinating representative of Asian pit vipers.

This juvenile male is currently a tease-feeder. As a highly venomous species, it requires an appropriately experienced keeper and suitable facilities.
